Hello! If you're reading this "About me" page than you are either very lost on the internet, procrastinating from an exam, my professor, my mother, or an actual fan or potential employer.

 

I orginially put this page together as part of my capstone project for my Rhetoric and Civic Life course at Penn State University, where I'm currently an undergrad. I'm studying International Politics (National Security focus) and minoring in Security and Risk Analysis and Military Studies. I'm also an Army ROTC Cadet in the Nittany Lion Battalion - training to one day commision as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army.

 

I'm an adventorous person; I like to cook, hike, travel, and experience new things. I also like to spend my nights donning a mask and cape and jumping from roof-top to roof-top of downtown State College fighting crime.

 

Perhaps that last bit isn't entirely true. But what is true is that I enjoy writing. I enjoy personal narratives, fiction, research papers. All of it. Writing is something I'm passionate about, and is a critical skill for me as a Liberal Arts student, as a future officer, and as an academic. Writing and public speaking have always come naturally to me and I'm sure glad they have because math is hard and I would make a truly terrible engineer major. However, as my careers as a student and an officer progress, the skills required to perform the new and challenging tasks handed to me must constantly be improved upon too.

 

This is the intent of this e-Portfolio. While I continue to write new essays and create new material for myself or for classes, I will continue to post them and revise them as necessary. My best works (and occasionally my lesser quality ones too) will be posted on this webpage for you to read, while I will simultaneously be updating, editing, and revising all of my works for a better quality and more current representation of the progression of my rhetorical skills.
